Bebe’s Little River Chocolate Co. is a small-batch chocolate maker based in Newton, Massachusetts. 

The work draws on a long relationship with food, hospitality, and shared tables, now expressed through chocolate.

We focus on familiar forms made carefully, in limited runs. Ingredients are chosen with care. Processes are kept simple so quality, consistency, and texture can lead.

This is chocolate meant to circulate. To be shared at tables, passed between neighbors, and discovered locally rather than produced at scale.

Bebe’s Little River Chocolate Co. is made by Cara Bertone. The company is named after her mother, Bebe, whose warmth, creativity, and natural charisma brought people together and drew light out of everyone she spent time with.  


What we make

All chocolates are produced in small batches and change throughout the year.

Sponge candy is a core focus and a specialty. It is made by hand, in small runs, and coated in chocolate shortly after production to preserve texture and freshness.

Availability is intentionally limited. When ordering is open, this site reflects what is currently being made.


How we work

Production is paced, local, and intentionally small. We lean toward restraint and repetition, focusing on a few things made carefully rather than many things made once.

Because of this, not everything is available all the time. Limited availability reflects how the chocolate is made, not something we’re trying to correct.
